Pierce Promise

Our Promise to You

The Pierce Promise began more than 100 years ago when our Montana-based family business started in 1924. The Pierce Promise expresses our commitment to taking care of customers. Society is full of warranties which are confusing, misleading, and hard to understand. Retailers and distributors typically direct you to contact the manufacturer or installer if there are any problems with your purchase.

Common Avoidable Flooring Problems

Maintain proper humidity (35–55%) to protect all wood flooring and keep warranties valid.

No floor is bulletproof—prevent scratches, dents, scuffs, and tears with floor protectors, moving slides under appliances, careful handling of heavy furniture, and avoiding excess moisture when cleaning.

Prevent heat and sun damage by regulating stoves, baseboard heaters, and protecting floors from intense sunlight through large windows and doors.

Use the right vacuum—choose one with an adjustable head and beater bar on/off switch to avoid damage to wool carpets, ultra-soft carpets, and hard surface floors.

Protect loop carpets from zippering or row loss by controlling pet activity, using proper furniture-moving techniques, and ensuring your vacuum is in good condition.

Follow product-specific care—our professional project managers will provide tailored maintenance tips to keep your floors looking their best for years.

Many manufacturer warranties are limited to owner-occupied single-family residences, are not transferable, and do not extend to commercial use or rental property applications. Your Pierce Flooring Project manager can provide you with these details and exclusions.
